Re:      Sustainability of Corporate Motivation, Inc.’s Business Model

Denver University’s Involvement

Over the last seventeen months, my Executive MBA Team has worked on various elements to prove viability of the business model of Matt Campana’s Corporate Motivation, Inc. (CMI).  As a result, we have identified some ways to position, market, and show value to corporations for participating in such a program.

We met with several Denver metro area businesses to review the merits of the program.  By far, the overwhelming response was that this is the type of program that they have been looking for of late.  Some of the reasons given were: (1) the onslaught of the Millennial Generation into the workforce is demanding this type of corporate social responsibility program in order for them to accept employment within a corporation; (2) the combination of team-building or leadership training with a socially responsible program provides for more meaningful use of their budget; (3) the ‘Return on Involvement’ of the program is something that will be felt for a long time within the corporation, more so than a traditional stand-alone training session or a donation to a charity would provide; and (4) the program will improve the company’s corporate image.

The positioning strategy for this service is centered on corporations that are looking for leadership training, team building, and a social responsibility program.  The CMI program provides an ‘all in one package’ solution to meet those needs.  The potential exists to develop partnerships with various service providers and nonprofit organizations that can each be selling the same program in which all partners will benefit.  This customizable program also provides companies the ability to pull from different departmental budgets to meet the cost of the program without looking for additional funds to participate.

Demand for this type of program is growing and will continue to grow for the foreseeable future.  Based upon our research findings, responses and feedback from the market place, it is our recommendation that Matt Campana’s CMI program is sustainable and can provide for a significant profit model for the participants.
